How an interview usually runs

Not every placement includes an employer interview. Where one does, it generally follows these four stages.

The invitation

You are contacted once your CV has been matched to a brief and screened.
The conversation

Expect questions on your sector experience, the role itself and when you can travel.
Verification

Certificates, licences and language level are confirmed against what your CV states.
The outcome

You are told the decision. If you are accepted, documentation begins.

Four questions sit behind most of what you will be asked. Answering them plainly is worth more than a rehearsed answer.

Can you do the work?

Describe the tasks you have actually done, not the job title you held.
Are your documents in order?

Have your passport, certificates and licences to hand so nothing has to be chased afterwards.
Can you work on that site?

Sites run day to day in one language. Be honest about the level you can work at.
Can you travel when needed?

Employers hire against a start date, so a clear answer here carries real weight.
